Public Affairs fulfills the Army's obligation to keep the American people and the Army informed, and helps to establish the conditions that lead to confidence in America's Army and its readiness to conduct operations in peacetime, conflict and war.

Public Affairs Office (PAO)

The Fort Gordon Public Affairs Office conducts command information, media relations and community relations programs in support of organizations across the installation.

PAO’s support to the Fort Gordon community includes publication of The Globe, a weekly command information newspaper; keeping the community informed via social media platforms such as the Fort Gordon Facebook page (; keeping the public informed by facilitating news coverage of Army and other Department of Defense operations on post; and coordinating military participation in local events. The Public Affairs Office is assigned to the U.S. Army Garrison but provides general support to all organizations on the installation.
