Chaplain (LTC) Lou DelTufo is currently the Senior Chaplain at the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence, Fort Gordon, Georgia. He is married to Nancy and they have two adult children.
Chaplain DelTufo is Ordained by the General Council of the Assemblies of God, New Jersey District. He has served in Ministry since earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from Evangel University, Springfield, MO. He completed his Master of Arts in New Testament Theology and Master of Divinity Degree from The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, MO. Before coming on active duty as a chaplain, he served as both a Pastor and Police Chaplain in Missouri. In 2003 he earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Drew Theological Seminary and in 2016 he graduated from the United States Army War College (USAWC) with a Master of Science in Strategic Studies.
Chaplain DelTufo enlisted in the New Jersey Army National Guard in February 1989 and completed the Combat Engineer One Station Unit Training at FT Leonard Wood, MO. He served in both the New Jersey and Missouri Army National Guard. He entered active duty in August 1995. He served as a Battalion Chaplain at Fort Bragg, Korea, Goodfellow Air Force Base and Fort Gordon, and Iraq. After attending Command and General Staff College (CGSC), he moved to Germany and deployed to Iraq as the Deputy Division Chaplain for 1st Armored Division and Task Force Iron at COB Speicher, Iraq. Upon redeployment, he became the Executive Officer, Office of the Chaplain, US Army Europe & 7th Army, Heidelberg. After promotion to LTC, he moved to Fort Eustis, VA, and became the Chaplain Personnel Manager for US Army Training and Doctrine Command, later serving as the 1st Infantry Division Chaplain, Fort Riley, KS, and the Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command Chaplain for Operation Inherent Resolve, Baghdad, Iraq (CJFLCC-I).
Chaplain DelTufo is a graduate of the Chaplain Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms Staff and Service School, CGSC, US Army War College, Combat Medical Ministry Course, Basic Clinical Pastoral Education (WRAMC), Civil Affairs Officer Advanced Course, Airborne School, and Jumpmaster Course.
